As the new year begins, people are thinking about making plans for the year – where they will go on vacation in the summer, what they’d like to achieve in business, etc. All the plans are assuming they are here in this world. Not many people think about what happens if they are not here.

At the beginning of the year, we also want to make sure we plan on our future further down the road. What preparations are you making for your spiritual health so that you can be sure of your eternal future?

And to provide for your love ones, do you have adequate life insurance? Long term care insurance? I am not endorsing any insurance companies, but to have some kind of life insurance coverage is an important consideration.

I’ve posted before about making preparations. I am sure of my life in heaven with Jesus in the future, and we have life insurance. In fact, I told my husband that he is worth more dead than alive! With the life insurance that covers him, I can live comfortably 🙂

He told me he bought a good amount of insurance on me too, so don’t tempt him…

We’ve talked about having a living trust, but haven’t done it. So this year, I am making a goal of getting a living trust.

Stand To Reason just sent me the January newsletter. Greg Koukl challenged us to read 6 non-fiction books a year. Although I read more than 6 books a year, I don’t know how many non-fiction I read. So I am making that my goal this year too.

I’m excited about 2008! What plans do you have?
