I am glad I got to spend a little time with my dad today.
I don’t often make the effort to drive the 45 minutes to see him. Since he needed someone to take him to a doctor’s appointment today, I was glad to have the opportunity.
He bought me dim sum for lunch with plenty to take home too
We were talking about my cousin in Boston, and my dad assumed I hadn’t talked to my cousin in years. Which is true, I haven’t. But recently we connected on Facebook, and I wanted to tell my dad that.
How do I explain to my 85 year old dad about social networking sites? How do I explain about friends and profiles and writing wall to wall?
I give my dad credit for getting on email, reading the news, and checking his stocks online. Maybe I should tell him to get a FB.

Good daughter! But good luck on explaining FB to your dad! One of my MS interview question was to explain computer networks to a grandma.

Good interview question! Elliot gets frustrated explaining things to me. What is “intuitive” to some people is hard work for others
