Bethlehem Village highlights for me after four days:
A little boy came up to me 3 times to give me a hug just to say, “Hi Auntie Katy!” The 3rd time he says, “My name is Warren.” “I know that,” I said, “and your mom’s name is Eustine.” He was taken aback. “How did you know?”, he asked. Out of 80+ children, he didn’t think I knew who he was. “You’ve been coming to our VBS since you were little. Of course I know you!” I replied.
I asked the teen helpers, “Do you remember who your Crew Leader was when you were in VBS?” Alfred says, “Yeah, Elliot was my leader one year!” Ahh, he remembered!
Watching the teenagers playing kiddie games like leap frog and having a good time. They don’t need high tech video games!
Eating a late dinner at home around 10pm and talking to my girls about their highlights of the evening. They had lots of great moments to share too.
