What has God been teaching you?

If your answer is “I don’t know”, then think again.

God teaches us with everyday experiences. We just have to be observant. Take this example:

I passed by the field of a sluggard,

by the vineyard of one who lacks wisdom.

I saw that thorns had grown up all over it,

the ground was covered with weeds, and its stone wall was broken down.

When I saw this, I gave careful consideration to it;

I received instruction from what I saw:

“A little sleep, a little slumber,

a little folding of the hands to relax,

and your poverty will come like a bandit, and your need like an armed robber.

Proverbs 24:30

This guy learned a lesson about the importance of work habits when he saw a vineyard overgrown with weeds. We could’ve walked pass the same vineyard and just think it’s a messy vineyard and moved on without thinking about it any further. We would’ve missed an object lesson from God.

Daniel Chou’s post gives another good example of God teaching us through everyday life experiences.

Some people say, “I am just working and going to school. I don’t hear God speaking to me. ”

If you have a heart that is open to learn, you will gain wisdom as you open your eyes and reflect on your daily circumstances. God is speaking to you all the time.
