I was thinking, how could this have possibly happened?
But then, if you were not very educated,
and you didn’t even know enough about geography to draw a map,
and you didn’t know where you were in relationship to your home,
and you couldn’t find your way back to the bus stop,
and there is no phone at your home,
and there is no mail service to your home,
and you can’t draw pictures well enough for people to know what you’re trying to say,
and you wouldn’t even know if people understood your gestures and pictures because you wouldn’t know what they’re saying to you in reply,
and in 25 years, you couldn’t learn even a few useful words in another language,
this could happen to you…
