I often hear people say “You have to do what you love.”

It would be nice to be able to be able to make money doing something you love. But in the real world, that doesn’t always happen.

Does that mean you should only do what you love? And if you don’t love what you do, you shouldn’t do it?

I am glad to hear WriterDad put it in perspective – “I don’t need to fall in love with every career I have. I have my wife and children to be in love with. I want my business to be lucrative.”

In the perfect world, we would make a lot of money doing what we love. Even then, you don’t love every day of your work.

But in the real world, doing something you are good at that makes you good money is not a bad thing.

I am still looking for what I would love to do that can make me money. In the meantime, I’ll just do what can make me some money.

I am glad that I have a husband and children to be in love with.

do recall you always planned to write a book on understanding God’s love and christian life through the daily interactions of parents and kids!

Or maybe you will be doing more guest appearances on TV (I still remember!)

Oh, Dan, thanks for remembering! I am working on a book, but not that one…yet.
Do you like what you are doing? (Even though you may not like where you are doing it.)
